Privacy Policy

Effective April 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Aevix Technologies (“Aevix,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit aevixtech.com or interact with our forms, products, and communications. Aevix Technologies is operated as a sole proprietorship in the United States.

We try to keep this policy short and readable. If anything is unclear, email privacy@aevixtech.com and we will explain.

1. Information we collect

When you submit a form on this site, we collect:

  • Name and email address.
  • Department, agency, employer, or company (when provided).
  • Role or title (when provided).
  • Phone number (when you submit a partner or pilot inquiry).
  • The free-text message you write us.
  • The page you submitted from.

We also automatically collect limited technical data when you submit a form:

  • A salted, one-way hash of your IP address (used for spam and abuse prevention).
  • Your browser’s user-agent string.
  • Submission timestamp.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site. Clarity collects usage data such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolls, mouse movement, and session recordings, along with device, browser, and approximate location. Clarity may set cookies in your browser. We use this data to improve the site — not for advertising, profiling, or sale. Microsoft processes this data on our behalf subject to Microsoft’s privacy and security commitments. You can read more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clarity loads only after you accept the cookie banner the first time you visit; if you decline, it does not load and no recording is created. Form fields on this site are masked in Clarity recordings so the values you type are not captured. We do not run advertising pixels or cross-site tracking.

2. How we use information

  • Respond to your inquiry and follow up about the topic you raised.
  • Evaluate fit for our pilot or partner programs.
  • Send you information you requested.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our site (rate limiting, abuse prevention).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Legal basis (EEA / UK visitors)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Consent— when you submit a form, you consent to us using the information you provided to respond.
  • Legitimate interests — site security, fraud prevention, and replying to business inquiries.
  • Legal obligation— when applicable law requires us to retain or disclose information.

4. Service providers

We use third-party service providers to run this site. They process personal information only to provide their service to us, under their own data processing terms. The categories of providers we use are:

  • Website hosting and edge infrastructure (United States).
  • Database and storage for form submissions (United States).
  • Product analytics, including session-replay analytics. The specific analytics provider we use today is identified in Section 1.
  • Email service for replying to inquiries.

For EU/UK transfers to the United States, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by each provider. You can request the current list of named sub-processors at any time by emailing privacy@aevixtech.com.

5. Cookies

We use one strictly necessary cookie, aevix_csrf, for security (cross-site request forgery protection on our forms). It does not track you across sites and is not used for advertising.

Microsoft Clarity sets analytics cookies (for example, _clck and _clsk) so we can recognize a returning session and stitch a recording together. These cookies are only set after you accept the cookie banner. If you decline, no Clarity cookies are set. Clarity cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.

We do not set advertising or marketing cookies. You can change your cookie choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer.

6. How long we keep information

  • Form submissions: kept for up to 36 months from submission, or longer if you become a customer or pilot partner, so we can maintain the relationship.
  • Hashed IP and user-agent records: kept for up to 12 months for security and abuse prevention.
  • You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have about you.
  • Request a copy of it (data portability).
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information.
  • Withdraw consent.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@aevixtech.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

California residents:we do not sell or “share” (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA) your personal information. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out under the CCPA.

8. Security

We use TLS in transit, access controls on our database, and a one-way hash for IP addresses. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, email security@aevixtech.com.

9. Children

This site is intended for adults working in or evaluating public safety software. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child submitted information to us, email privacy@aevixtech.com and we will delete it.

10. Marketing email

We do not send unsolicited marketing email. If you opt in to updates or we follow up on your inquiry, every message will identify Aevix Technologies as the sender and include a way to opt out. Once we publish a postal mailing address, it will be added to all commercial email per CAN-SPAM.

11. Product privacy (Aevix Operations, Stride, Orison, Vix)

This policy covers the public marketing website. Privacy practices for our products (data submitted by departments using Aevix Operations, Stride, Orison, or Vix) are governed by the agreement signed with each customer or pilot partner. Where Aevix handles protected health information, we will execute a Business Associate Agreement before that data is processed.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the page for at least 30 days.
